Typical symptoms of autism

Autistic kids often have at least some of the following symptoms:
- Hurting themselves
- Hurting others
- Messy
- Tantrums
- Elopement (running away)
- Self-stimulatory behaviors (stims) – like clapping, flapping, rocking, squawking
- Not very affectionate
- Don’t like change
- Lots of skills are behind those of other kids their age
- Difficulties with speech and communication
- Looks strange
- Weird play habits
- Difficulty making and keeping friends
- Destroy things
- Trouble expressing their needs
- Trouble making eye contact
- Unnatural attachment to certain objects
Once you have autism, it’s very difficult to get rid of it.
